Corporate Profile

PACER Corporation was founded in 1993 to conduct agricultural consulting and research.  Craig Walters is the primary research agronomist with support from technicians.  Traditionally PACER covers an area from Grangeville, ID to Yakima, WA and from the Canadian Border to Pendleton, OR. Sometimes upon request we travel beyond the Palouse, Camas Prairie, and Central Basin regions.

Our primary business is conducting research trials for chemical and fertilizer manufacturers and plant breeders and developers.  Our major accounts include BASF, Monsanto, Pioneer Seed and Syngenta and J.R. Simplot; however, we conduct trials for more than 20 companies at this time.  Most trials are replicated small plots completed with Hege planters and combines.  We can adapt to the customers needs for specialized equipment and designs.

We have provided agronomic consulting services to both farmers and large corporations.  We provide consulting and training in Global Positioning Systems (GPS)  and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)  with customers including Simplot, Seneca foods and Agriliance

Craig Walters holds a BS in Agronomy and a MS in soil science with emphasis on GIS. He currently holds the Certified Professional Agronomist (CPAg) with the American Society of Agronomy. He has conducted research for PACER for 9 years and has 25 years experience in the agchem industry as a fieldman and dealer manager.  He has 15 years experience in precision ag and is presently involved with GPS and GIS research and training for industry personnel.  Craig brings a strong understanding of statistics and research design to PACER and can help customers reach their objectives with minimal cost.
